Library Director


Professional position responsible for all aspects of Library operations and functions, under the general supervision of the Library Board. 


Requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or equivalent and four (4) years experience in Library administration; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

  • Advanced principles and practices of Public Library functions

  • Proactive public service initiative with strong communication and interaction skills

  • Knowledge of computers, MS Office programs , and ability to perform data entry

  • Exhibit flexibility and possess a high degree of patience and tolerance

  • Willingness and desire to learn and accept challenging responsibilities
