Outstanding opportunity for a full time position as an Accounting Specialist with the McKenzie County Treasurer’s Department 
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in an accounting function; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
  • Aptitude for and attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multi-task
  • Extensive knowledge of computers, computer programs, scanning equipment and various office machines, modern office practices, procedures, equipment, record keeping, and filing systems
  • Excellent organization skills and customer service
  • Ability to follow written and verbal requests
  • Willingness and desire to learn new and challenging tasks
GENERAL DUTIES :
  • Preparing and reconciling accounts
  • Billing and processing of checks
  • Enter a variety of information for the Treasurer’s Department including analyzing, coding, and journalizing all financial activities
  • Complete, track, and/or maintain a variety of records, logs, ledgers, and files

Salary Range of $22.59 per hour
