Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

What is CERT?  Watch this video! Community Response Team in action.
Community Emergency Response Team educates people about disaster preparedness and provides basic disaster response training. CERT training includes disaster psychology, basic fire suppression, elementary disaster medical operations and light search and rescue.  CERT is a positive and realistic approach for citizens to being ready for emergency situations.

The CERT program is an all-risk, all-hazard training. This valuable course is designed to help you protect yourself, your family, your neighbors and your community.

                                                        ATTENTION:
On January 20, 2021 we rolled out a new way to become CERT Certified online with a hands on course to follow the online courses. We have an amazing community of people and this will expand on what our community volunteers can do in case of a disaster. You will be able to help more than your community, you will be able to help your own family in instances you were not able to before, your neighborhood if it were to have been hit first. Please call if you have any questions. I look forward to working with all that join. Together we will keep McKenzie County strong. Please email kjappe@co.mckenzie.nd.us with your name and phone number. If you have questions, you're welcome to call 701.444.7483 or 701.444.7144.

To sign up for online CERT classes, contact our office!

These classes are free!  You do need to register with us first, then you will be given a link to sign up for the 12 hour online classes. There will be 16 hours of hands on training once the 12 hour online courses are completed.

Call 701-444-7483 or 701-444-7144 for more information.
